I recently upgraded to QB Pro 2008 (from Pro 2005) and have now run into a problem. I have very few taxable sales, so have not invoiced a taxable sale since my upgrade 2 months ago. I pull up a blank sales receipt or invoice and click on an item which is taxable and after pricing, no tax is added to the invoice. It shows the tax box at the far right of the line and also sales tax at the box at the bottom... but it is 0.00. I go into my item list and it shows that same sales tax item at 7% (our tax rate). Everything appears to be the same as before my upgrade, but now it doesn't apply the 7% sales tax to an invoice or sales receipt. Any ideas?

Your item is marked NON taxable....edit the item...better yet try it with a
TAXABLE item and see for yourself...I have been using QB2008 for a month now...no glitch of this sort...(tho I feel I would have been better off with QB2007...Payroll features have been REDUCE considerably in QB2008....that's UPGRADE for you...) |
