Default Switching from Old Accounting System to QuickBooks

Shouldn't a company who has just started using QuickBooks, after using an old accounting package for years, run parallel testing to compare how the two are agreeing?

It seems logical to me, but maybe I'm wrong.

Would appreciate input of any kind.

Sometimes it is just not feasible and can become costly if you a larger company because you would need to experts to to run two accounting softwares and then someone to pass the judgement or analyze which works the best.
