Accounting Technician – Full time

Moss Beach Homes, Inc. is a non profit, human services agency which provides foster care, adoption services, residential care, school-based and community-based services to youth and families in over 30 locations throughout California.

Position Summary –
The Accounting Technician supports the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general Accounting function for the organization. The Technician is responsible for processing and filing A/P and A/R receipts, inputting data into Accounting systems, and communicating with vendors or contractors as needed. This position also manages the Accounting files and general accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements –
1. AA degree in business with at last 1 full year of accounting courses. Alternative to education would be a minimum of 3-5 years experience as an accounting clerk
2. Proficiency with MS Office Suite: Word, Excel and Power point
3. 10 Key Skills
4. Experience with non-profit fund accounting preferred but not required
5. Requires good math aptitude and attention to detail with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with employees and clients
5. Meets all state required conditions of employment as set forth by Community Care Licensing for a Licensed Community Care facility; i.e. Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid CDL, and clean driving record
