Eklin is looking for a South Bay based Accounts Payable Coordinator to take ownership of the AP function, assuring that vendor payables are accurately processed and payments made in a timely manner

Reports to: Controller Location: Santa Clara, CA Position Type: Full-time employee, full benefits, exempt status Experience: 3-5 years or more of related experience in a mid-volume corporate accounting environment Required Education: Bachelors or Associate degree with Accounting emphasis Position Available: Immediately Responsibilities: Prepare and process daily vendor payable invoices ensuring that payments are made timely and accurately Ensure appropriate approval, accurate input, and proper expense accounting of accounts payables invoices Resolve issues with expenses as part of the monthly close cycle Work with Purchasing, Receiving and other groups to ensure proper approvals and processing on all vendor Invoices and other documents Process employee expense reports and make payments in a timely manner Preparation of Sales and Use Tax returns Preparation of 1099’s at year’s end Month-end and year-end close Track fixed assets, physical inventory and capital equipment Special projects as assigned Required skills and attributes: Good understanding of GAAP Solid general knowledge of ERP systems Solid working knowledge of QuickBooks Working knowledge of Sales and Use tax return preparation in multiple states Familiarity with fixed asset and COGS accounting Experience in a light manufacturing environment preferred Solid 10-key abilities Demonstrated proficiency with QuickBooks, MS Excel and Outlook Good interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced environment Reliable and flexible, able to work independently as well as part of a team.
