For over forty years, in four regions in two states, CAMINAR, has been providing programs and services to the mentally and physically disabled. Currently, we are seeking a Staff Accountant to support a busy department and regional areas with quick changing needs.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete detailed General Ledger reconciliations, report to funders, maintain accounting records and other related duties in the daily administration of the accounting department. Prepare specialized audit schedules, audit expenses, execute special reporting projects for internal and external audits. Other duties will be assigned to meet business needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of Excel and Word

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
• BA/BS/MS Degree in Accounting, or equivalent
• Five to ten years experience in all aspects of accounting. Be well versed in issues encountered by Accountants
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Solomon, Great Plains, and/or other accounting software

ALL JOB FUNCTIONS STATED ARE ESSENTIAL AND NOT LIMITED TO POSITION:
• Coordinate work with a number of accounting associates in all aspects of accounting (journal entries, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll).
• Work with, and support the regions in their accounting needs.
• Prepare monthly financial and various detailed analyses.
• Assemble back-up information to support billings to funders
• Prepare annual property reports for County Assessors
• Assist with preparing for agency audits.
• Responsible for the development of systems, special financial studies, etc. of major importance.
• Duties require broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with complex accounting issues.
• Works with confidential data, which if disclosed, might have significant internal effect or minor external effect.
