Thread: make millions on the stock market

I have spoke to many people that claim they are millionaires from the stock market without disclosing how they did it. If you have made millions from the stock market please share your tactics here. What stocks would you recommend, what investment company (e-trade, ameritrade, etc)?

From what I understand, the secret to making millions in the stock market is to buy low and sell high. I've never actually tried it, but I hear it works.

In all seriousness, get-rich-quick schemes are just schemes. If they worked for one or two people it is almost entirely attributable to luck.

If there really were a way to make millions on the stock market with virtually no startup capital and no prior knowledge or experience, don't you think everyone would be doing it?

Mutual fund managers are professionals with tons of experience and are paid to make money by buying stocks. They dont even make millions. You have to be gifted like Buffet, or extremely lucky. I know people who have bought into this and lost tons.

just shadow the mutual fund managers. See what they buy and sell.

I do agree with buy cheap and sell at high price strategy. This is just a hold and sell technique.

i heard about intra-day trading.

Not yet tried on stocks. But, i can tell you since Europe is down, you can buy cheap stocks now.

I think if you buy a lot in low and sell them at high prices then you could really be a millionaire but then again this case takes a lot of study, learning and great timing which I think is the hardest part to master.
