Every ATT (authorization to test) submitted on or after August 16, 2008 will be subjected to a fee increase. Taking the examination involves two categories of required fees that are to be paid either to your board of accountancy or to NASBA.

Application Fee: This fee is established by and paid to your board of accountancy or its designated agent.

Examination Fee: The amount of this fee depends on the section of the examination and is paid either to your board of accountancy, its designated agent or to NASBA. Examination fees are established by boards of accountancy, NASBA, the AICPA and Prometric. The states that are under NASBA fees will have the same fee increase. Their fees are as follows:

To insure that your authorization to test will be charged under the current fee structure, the First-time Application, with all supporting documents and Reexamination registrations must be received by the CPA Examination Service no later than August 1, 2008. CPA Examination Service cannot guarantee that applications received after August 1, 2008 will be processed and submitted before August 16, 2008.
