I just wanted to know what kinds of questions are asked during an interview for a job that is directly related to accounting like AP/AR etc.
Are there any course related questions that are asked ? |

It really depends on the kind of the interview and there are two kinds:
- Behavioral - Technical Like the name suggests, during a behavioral interview, you are being judged on your personality, etiquettes etc which is one to make sure you are the right fit for the company. Common questions would be "how do you handle stressful situations?" etc. During a technical interview, the idea is to figure out what exactly you are capable of doing. Depending on the position you applied for you can be asked about journal entries, if something is a debit or credit or you might be given a situation where a transaction is taking place after which the question would be true or false. |

I recently went had an interview for a job that was related to Quickbooks accounting. It was for a accounts receivable position and obviously i was put on spot right away so that the interviewer could asses my quickbooks knowledge.
After that I was asked basic debit/credit questions about AP/AR. Depending on the job you are applying for, questions can very. My 2 cents ![]() |
