I am currently in high school, and I am thinking of going into the accounting field as a nonpublic accountant. The questions I have are: (1)What can I do to maxamize my success as a nonpublic accountant? and (2) Is getting lisenced as a CPA useless if I am not going into public accounting? Thanks in advanced.

If you don't want to be a public accountant, you can always go towards private and governenment accounting. So you would either have a job working for government, non-profit or private company job like for eg. Chevron.
CPA is the ultimate certification in Accounting but I personally know that most people who get their Bachelors in Accounting, don't get their CPAs. Getting a CPA is a good thing but its not a requirement. CPAs make more money than people who just have Bachelors who work at the same job position.... Welcome to AccountingBLOCK ![]() |
