Thread: Foreign Exchange Gain/Loss

I work in a Pakistani firm and we have US$ deposits which we plan to invest in a foreign refinery next month for which the investment is required in US$ and our financial statements are in PKR. will the notional exchange gain/loss on US$ deposits be realized or unrealized profit/loss?
